Beasley Ceramics Scholarship
Applications will be ongoing.

The scholarship will cover the tuition to attend a beginner class at Clayworks, specifically for one BIPOC (Black Indigenous Person Of Color). If you have met me in person, either at an art festival, university, community art class, NCECA or are simply a fan of Beasley Ceramics, then you know this comes with positive intentions. I typically do not use social media to voice my political, religious, or social viewpoints, but I am hopeful this small gesture can generate local change. At the very least, create a conversation focusing on how the arts tend to be heavily populated with white participants. I am doing the best I can, with what I have to offer and am always open to learning, facing fears and being educated. If you are a BIPOC and see anything I have written in the message above that is incorrect/ignorant/otherwise offensive, please help me learn how to be a better citizen of Earth.
