Production Pottery
In 2010 I accepted an apprenticeship position at Palms Up Pottery under the guidance of master potter Richard Collison in New Smyrna Beach, FL. The following two years I would routinely throw 10,000 pounds of clay into utilitarian objects and artistic forms. This gave me the discipline and understanding of what it means to become a studio artist. From here I wanted to learn more about the broader art field and pursued academic training.
